Over 18,000 qualified professionals declared this year’s event an overwhelming success even richer in business-oriented ideas and projects. The idea of an ever-new, attractive exhibition paving the path towards continuity, demonstrated by new events and live shows that have shed light on companies and put on show the latest trends leading up to the visual communication industry.

Milan, 18 October 2016 – The 28th edition of Viscom Italia closed the doors with a double-digit plus: a 15% increase in the exhibition space, over 400 international brands with a substantial increase in quality and numbers, a rise of 20% for new exhibitors showcasing the latest communication technology, and a 17% increase in the number of overseas exhibitors (Belgium, Switzerland, Sweden, Germany, France, UK, Spain, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Czech Republic, Croatia, Romania, Poland, North America, China and Korea). Ultimately, the show proved to be a roaring success that attracted over 18,409 visitors (up by 11 per cent compared to 2015).

“Our objective was not only to replicate last year’s success – said Paola Sarco, Exhibition Manager of Viscom Italia – but also to try to do more. As a result of the participation and commitment of all exhibitors, visitors, and a tighter collaboration with associations and media, that have trusted us, Viscom Italia has reaffirmed once again its absolute leadership role in visual communication. High quality products, speeches, and keynote speakers confirmed that this year’s edition has obtained a rather striking result”.

Great success for the new events and the special areas featuring a number of collective initiatives that confirmed the consolidated international outlook of Viscom Italia: from seminars for managerial updating to initiatives aimed to throw light on the emerging trends in communication.

8 seminars, 14 guest speakers and over 1,400 visitors attended the extensive schedule of conferences, the so-called Viscom Talks, - under the scientific coordination of Personalive, a start-up incubated by POLIHUB – Polytechnic University of Milan. An information platform where a number of keynote speakers took the stage telling their success stories to highlight how visual communication solutions are increasingly influencing a variety of industries from advertising to design, from fashion to retail and brands scenario in order to create winning business models.

Visitors also flocked to the Viscom Rock Cafè that was not merely an occasion for exploring the boundaries of visual communication market, but a moment of crucial dialogue to gain new insights. A live stage - devised by Reed Exhibitions Italia, and designed by the architect Valeria Randazzo – with a real operating lounge bar harbouring the multiple solutions visual communication allows. An attentive and highly amused audience found out the thousand faces of decoration applied to a wide range of materials such as exterior signage, digital printing on furniture, fabrics, walls, promotional gifts, embroidered T-shirts, POS displays, digital signage devices, and an array of products engraved by laser.

Creativity, technical skills, innovation and design were the iconic ingredients to Elementaria that put on show 7 prototypes manufactured from raw materials for display solutions and brand communication in the Food & Beverage industry. Finally, a panel of experts led by Maurizio Milani, Milani Design, which comprised Renzo Callegari, Cromografica, Alessandro Olivetti and Katia Maestri, Delsey Italia, Federico Patrizi, L'Oreal Vichy, Francesco Pino, Parmalat, Jessica Gargani, C2C, selected the best displays competing for the 6th International DIVA, Display Italia Viscom Award, organised in bundle with Display Italia. 24 display solutions entered the award.
