The most original applications of visual communication on display to focus on the current trends in a variety of industries from advertising to design, from fashion to retail and brands scenario. Creative excellence with countless novelties, latest products and groundbreaking technologies to forge new pathways to business growth.

Milan, 17th October 2017 – Satisfaction and great enthusiasm marked the end of the 29th edition of Viscom Italia, the Europe’s largest exhibition for the visual communications sector that officially ended on Saturday, 14th October, in Milan. The three-day event welcomed 19,732 professional visitors (+7% compared to 2016, and a 13% increase in the number of overseas visitors) who flocked to the halls 8/12 at Fiera Milano.
Once again, Viscom Italia has proved to be an ever-new, attractive exhibition paving the path towards continuity, suggested by new events and live shows that shed light on companies and open up valuable new opportunities for
growth. A dynamic market that is constantly changing and evolving with a focus on product customisation.
Contaminating, just like a virus, new market sectors is a value-added feature as it offers the chance to discover lots of previews- in terms of products and applications, - and new opportunities for : Large format digital printing – Sign – Sign making – Screen printing - Pad printing – Textile promotion – Embroidery – Engraving – Milling– Laser – Trophies and Awards - Digital Signage – Labelling – Packaging - P.O.S.

“Business, creativity, trends, innovation, technology, experimentation and in-depth knowledge were the key-words that defined the 2017 edition of Viscom Italia – said Paola Sarco, Exhibition Manager Viscom Italia – and once
again confirmed the exhibition as an unmissable appointment for all visual communication professionals to meet and discuss; an international happening providing insights into market dynamics. The vibrancy of the whole sector could be felt everywhere filling any booth. It was great to hear such positive feedback from more than 200 satisfied exhibitors.”

The scheduled events provided a specialist training environment to build technical expertise, a networking opportunity as well as a chance to take advantage of business opportunities during the demos of new technology. A
clear differentiation of new applications and formats was one of the most critical solution showcased at the exhibition, providing new cues to all those visitors who would like to leave behind what they have tried and tested in
the past.

11 seminars, 17 keynote speakers and 1628 professional visitors attended the extensive schedule of conferences, the so-called Viscom Talks. Shared experiences focused on several topics: from how to properly use social media to win new business, to how to add significant value to business performance through digital printing, and how fashion and digital printing are playing a substantial role in revolutionising urban streetwear. The entire programme was complemented by rather targeted contents, such as different approaches to developing creative ideas to release new packaging models and new advertising campaigns, and new modes of communication between art and architecture for promoting the city and the brand. Finally, we launched new earworms and future trends to car wrapping.

The new Viscom City Live event attracted a large turnout. A creative site of 400 sq.m entirely made up of a vast array of applications kindly provided by our technical sponsoring companies:, Epson, Gravotech, HP Italy,
Mimaki Bompan Textile, Plotterfilms, Roland DG Mid Europe, Trotec
. Bars, shops and trendy shop windows, and a state-of-the-art digital signage project took visitors on a virtual tour to discover the city of the future, printed designs on soft furnishings, fabrics and other materials, personalised products and laser engraved and printed giveaways. The main sponsor of the event 3M Italia presented the new wrap film series designed for car wrapping and interior decoration. Furthermore, the space housed the performance painting of the Japanese artist Tomoko Nagao, who reinterpreted the opera Salomé inspired by the imagery of Japanese pop culture.

Style and design were the iconic ingredients to Elementaria that put on show seven prototypes delivered by internationally renowned artists, architectural practices together with materials for shop fittings and brand communication devoted to the “Bellessere” world. The following talented designers developed the prototypes: Cristian Visentin, Gianluigi Landoni, Giorgio Gurioli, Marco Maggioni, Massimo Farinatti and Tomoko Nagao. Technical sponsors for materials on display were Busco, Deodato Arte, Geplast, Isonova, Madreperla, Pigomma, Pressoplast. Finally, a panel of experts comprised of Renzo Callegari Cromografica, Valentina Carmone Amer Sports, Francesco Di Biase Carlsberg, Pierpaolo Lento Digimedia Consulting, and Domenico Zeni C2C Gigroup selected the best displays competing for the seventh International DIVA, Display Italia Viscom Award, organised in partnership with Display Italia, and declared the Diva 2017 award winners.
