VISCOM ITALIA 2016:A LOOK AT THE LATEST TRENDS

More brands, more synergies, more internationalism. The event will shed light on more than 350 key sector players, with 16% increase in the exhibition area, and a 20% rise in the number of foreign exhibitors. Viscom Italia is back to showcase the excellence in visual communication with a groundbreaking edition rich in creative insights, new trends and live shows under the banner of “doing business”.

Milan, 2 September 2016 – A genuine creative laboratory, a hub whose aim is to open a strong pipeline of fresh new business ideas, and an international platform for meeting: all this is Viscom Italia 2016 – the international exhibition and conference on visual communication market- to be held from 13 to 15 October at Fiera Milano, Hall 8/12.

The idea of an ever-new, attractive trade fair, which will give professionals a taste of new expression models in visual communication inspiring and creating fertile ground not only for graphics/advertising sector, but also for
cross-cutting industries, such as furniture, interior design, fashion, retail trade and industrial production.

Viscom Italia confirms to be an international platform for business growth, thanks to an unprecedented exhibitor booking request, plus a 16% increase in exhibition space compared to 2015. Over 350 international players booked so far, over 30% of whom are first-time exhibitors, and 20% are overseas exhibitors, coming from the following countries: Belgium, Switzerland, China, Czech Republic Ceca, Germany, France, UK, Luxembourg, The Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Sweden, Spain, and USA. This year’s edition will guide you on an evocative and experiential journey of discovering countless quality products, cutting-edge technology, innovative applications and challenging materials for: Large format digital printing - Sign – Sign making – Screen
printing – Pad printing – Textile promotion - Embroidery – Engraving - Milling - Laser – Packaging - Labelling – Trophies and Awards - Digital Signage - P.O.P.

More than 16,500 trade visitors from 60 countries are expected to attend the unmissable yearly appointment for all visual communication professionals that will get a sneak preview of the latest products and applications to
successfully expand their business.
In order to promote features, resonate communication messages, and promote a dialogue on the state of the industry, the event confirmed its involvement with the most important associations in the business,
including: Aiap for graphic designers, Aicap for advertising material production, ALA-Assoarchitetti for architecture, and Assocom, for the promotional and advertising item sector, Display Italia for retail trade and
PersonaLive a company incubated by POLIHUB, the Politecnico di Milano.

The calendar features a high number of events and new initiatives to highlight the excellence on display while offering both participants and visitors top-notch networking solutions.

Viscom Live will be, as usual, at the core of the show. This area will host the opening of the coolest spot of the year: Viscom Rock Cafè! A live demo location offering a not to be missed extensive menu, a cocktail of new technology and innovative applications in which visual communication, in its many forms, plays a key role. During the three-day event, the audience will admire the many faces of the decoration technique applied to a wide range of materials such as digital printing on furniture and interior design, fabric graphics, gadgets, POS displays, direct to garment printing, digital signage devices, exterior signage and an array of products screen-printed and engraved by laser. Viscom Rock Cafè will offer a visual and tactile experience, highlighting innovative technological solutions and manufacturing techniques to give rise to new and fascinating business perspectives. The event could not do without the Viscom Talks – under the scientific coordination of Personalive, a company incubated by POLIHUB – the Politecnico di Milano-. A dissemination platform to share creative ideas that have turned into business success stories. The programme includes a range of topics tackled by international artists, such as, Stefano Babina, Felice Limosani and Marco Lodola that will present a selection of works from posters to advertising/video, and lighting to identify how technology can create new value for business. We will discover how to communicate effectively using fonts and how to convert them into graphic images for developing innovative design projects. We will create emotional experiences that will inspire our visitors through a mix of storytelling about all aspects of social media, and digital marketing to build brand awareness. We will take you on a journey to explore how advertising is trying to find some new scenarios that put consumer at the heart of the communication world, to catch his attention and persuade him to buy, or how retail store design creates memorable customer experiences. Finally, we will learn how the integration between packaging and digital technologies will enrich the consumer shopping experience.

Bolstered by the success of the past year, Viscom Italia presents once again Elementaria, that will showcase high-level design prototypes to provide an overview of new and emerging business models redesigning the manufacturing of store display solutions for leading brand names in the Food&Beverage sector. The second edition of the event will have a special focus on companies manufacturing polymer, metal, wooden and papermaking raw materials. The following architectural practices participate in the project: Altrodesign, ameliavallettadesign, Marco Maggioni Design, Menopausa –II, Paolo Pagani Studio.

DIVA – Display Italia Viscom Award, is back for its sixth edition, the international contest focused on retailing. This year too, visitors will be able to vote for the best displays solutions for the point of sale, made by P.O.P. material manufacturers, design studios, creative agencies and client companies for the following categories: permanent and temporary display solutions, Digital Signage devices, Packaging, Vending, and Shop Fitting.
