Midem 50th edition dates switched to 3-6 June 2016

02 Nov 2015

Midem today announces that the 50th edition of the global music market will take place in Cannes from Friday 3 to Monday 6 June 2016. The event had previously been scheduled to run from 7-10 June 2016.

"Midem 2016 will undeniably be the most important gathering of the year for the entire music ecosystem. Given that our aim is to bring together all the key industry players from around the world for this 50th edition, on a date to suit our clients in the Americas, Asia and Africa, as well as across Europe, we felt an adjustment to the dates would better meet this goal," said Jérôme Delhaye, Director of Reed MIDEM’s Entertainment Division.

For the tradeshow’s milestone 50th edition, business will be at the core of all events, which will include tailored matchmaking meetings, the first edition of the International Midem Awards ceremony, a business driven conference programme including inspiring industry keynotes and best practice case studies, competitions, matchmaking sessions, daily celebrations, and non-stop music.
