Reed Exhibitions Greater China announced the acquisition of the China Golf show, the current # 1 golf exhibition in the mainland. The show will now be organized by ‘Reed Guanghe Exhibitions’, a joint venture which Reed holds a majority. The event will be officially supported and co-hosted by the China Golf Association.
The collaboration will see each partner leveraging extensive resources in a move that will have a far-reaching impact for golf on and off the fairways. Focus will be on education and providing world class professional and business networking as well as sourcing platforms to help popularize the sport, the improvement of professional golf and its marketing development.
Reed Exhibitions is also the producer of PGA Merchandise Show, the world’s most influential golf trade show and the global summit for the business of golf, stage every year in the USA.

According to Lu, not only will golf training be intensified and expanded across China and Asia, but golf as a local industry and a stimulant of job creation is expected to receive a significant boost via this new cooperation.
Investment and popularity in the game of golf in Asia and China continue to grow at an exponential rate, particularly with golf being in the 2016 Olympics to drive interest. According to the China Golf Association, “China has about 500 golf courses and three million golfers. This figure is projected to grow to 1,000 courses and 20 million golfers by the year 2020”.
